The nonfungible token (NFT) marketplace Magic Eden, with a Solana headquarters in California, is the most recent platform to make a mechanism accessible that allows creators to enforce royalties on their collections.
This is in response to a similar feature announcement made by competitor NFT marketplace OpenSea at the beginning of November.
The open-source technology for collecting royalties, which is based on Solana’s SPL token standard, is known as the Open Creator Protocol.
