Meta Unveils New AI Assistant to Compete with Chatgpt and Google’s Gemini.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announces the launch of Meta’s new AI assistant at the Meta Connect developers conference, challenging Chatgpt and Google’s upcoming Gemini.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the launch of the company’s new AI-powered assistant at the Meta Connect developers conference. This AI assistant will enter the competitive arena, facing off against Chatgpt and Google’s forthcoming Gemini.

Zuckerberg’s presentation highlighted Meta’s unique approach to AI development. Unlike others in the industry, Meta believes in multiple AIs serving different purposes or even allowing users to create their own. He stated, “We are building a platform for creating AIs that can help you get things done or just have fun.”

Meta aims to integrate these AIs across its product universe, including WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, and Facebook. Developers will also have the opportunity to build more AIs in the future. Additionally, Meta introduced “personas” powered by real-life celebrities, such as Snoop Dogg and Tom Brady.

Meta AI has been released to a limited group of users in the U.S. and will soon be integrated into Meta’s smart glasses and Quest 3 VR headset.

Meanwhile, Openai’s Chatgpt now has internet browsing capabilities, and Amazon plans to invest up to $4 billion in Anthropic, the company behind the generative AI assistant Claude.
