Subway, the biggest franchise in the world, is testing the Lightning Network layer-2 Bitcoin payments system in Berlin, Germany, and the results so far are good.

In Moscow, Russia, over 13 years ago, Subway conducted its first Bitcoin test. Daniel Hinze, the proprietor of the Berlin Subway franchise, has tallied more than 120 Bitcoin transactions during the last three months.

Hinze provided a 50% discount on all Bitcoin payments for the first week of the campaign.
