The Bitcoin community as a whole contributed more than 4.5 million dollars in just seven days to Turkey’s recent catastrophe relief efforts.
On the first day, Sasha.waves, the creator of Waves, donated $50,000 while Turkish scientist Emin Gün Sirer, who created Avalanche, gave $1 million.
Regional crypto exchange platforms like Icrypex, Bitget Turkey, Bitci, MexC Turkey, Bitfinex Turkey, OKX, and Gate.io have donated a total of $371,499, or 7 million Turkish Lira.
