Shaktikanta Das, the governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), stated that the RBI is committed to encouraging innovation for companies that develop financial technology while also keeping customer safety in mind.
Das stated that the RBI would begin releasing digital rupees i.e. Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), during the current fiscal year and claimed that technology, innovation, and fintech were working together to boost the enthusiasm of this business
