The Capital Market Authority (CMA), the financial markets regulator in Oman, is in the process of creating a regulatory framework for the digital asset industry.

This new framework will address several key areas, including the identification and management of risks associated with this new asset class, supervision of virtual asset activities, and the development of a licensing process for virtual asset service providers (VASPs).

The goal of this regulatory framework is to establish guidelines for the virtual asset industry in the Sultanate and promote responsible growth in this emerging field.
